Our Story

A villa that sails, drawn from the Naakolhu

For centuries the Maldives has been held together by the sea. Long before airports and resorts, handcrafted wooden boats known as Naakolhu carried families, traders and members of the royal court between the islands — masterpieces of local craftsmanship, and enduring symbols of our maritime heritage.

Historical records describe royal voyages across the atolls aboard traditional Maldivian fleets, reflecting how closely the monarchy and the ocean were bound together. Today many of the country's finest resorts honour that lineage through architecture inspired by these boats. Atoll Villa shares the philosophy, and carries it one step further.

Instead of building a villa that looks like a boat, we built a luxury villa that sails.

Her lines follow the graceful curve of the traditional Naakolhu, joining centuries of Maldivian boat-building with modern engineering, contemporary comfort and world-class hospitality. Every detail is a tribute to the craftsmen who shaped our maritime identity, and to the kings and queens who once journeyed between these islands by sea.

Designed as a Moving Villa, she lets guests experience the Maldives in a way no resort can. Wake to a different island each morning, find hidden lagoons and private sandbanks, and meet Maldivian culture on its own terms — all from within a private luxury villa.

Elegant cabins, convertible living spaces, a spa jacuzzi, indoor and outdoor lounges, fine dining and smart technology bring timeless tradition and modern luxury into the same hull. This is the next generation of Maldivian hospitality, where heritage, innovation and unforgettable experience meet.

  • Atoll Villa is more than a yacht.
  • It is a floating tribute to Maldivian history.
  • It is a celebration of the legendary Naakolhu.
  • It is inspired by the royal journeys of the Maldives.

And she is proudly redefining luxury as the Maldives' Moving Villa — where the story of our islands continues to sail into the future.

The Yacht

Every deck drawn for stillness

Twenty-three metres, three decks, four cabins and eight guests sleeping aboard — up to fifteen for the day. Her hull follows the Naakolhu lines the Maldives has trusted for generations, adapted for shallow lagoons and long, slow days at anchor.

Exterior aboard Atoll Villa, a private luxury yacht in the Maldives

23m · 3 decks

Exterior

Drawn from the lines of the Naakolhu, the Maldivian working boat, and rebuilt in warm teak and pale composite. The shallow hull lets her lie inside lagoons that larger yachts can only look at from the channel.

Cabins aboard Atoll Villa, a private luxury yacht in the Maldives

4 suites · 8 guests

Cabins

Four suites, each with panoramic glass at bed height, linen in warm white and sand, and blackout calm when you want the morning to wait. Wake to reef rather than a corridor.

Indoor Lounge aboard Atoll Villa, a private luxury yacht in the Maldives

Cinema · Library

Indoor Lounge

A cool, shaded salon for the middle of the day: deep seating, a small library of Indian Ocean writing, and glass that frames the water without letting the heat in.

Outdoor Lounge aboard Atoll Villa, a private luxury yacht in the Maldives

Aft deck · Sundeck

Outdoor Lounge

Shaded daybeds on the aft deck, open to the wake. This is where the day collects — wet towels, cold drinks, half-finished books and long conversations that outlast the light.

Spa & Jacuzzi aboard Atoll Villa, a private luxury yacht in the Maldives

Jacuzzi · Massage sala

Spa & Jacuzzi

A sundeck jacuzzi set deliberately west, with a massage sala beside it and a therapist who reads the day before suggesting the treatment.

Dining aboard Atoll Villa, a private luxury yacht in the Maldives

Private chef · BBQ deck

Dining

One chef, eight guests, no menu printed in advance. Maldivian reef fish, Japanese precision and Mediterranean simplicity, served wherever you happen to be sitting.

Water Toys aboard Atoll Villa, a private luxury yacht in the Maldives

Tender · Jet Ski · Dive kit

Water Toys

paddleboards, kayaks, a jet ski, a dive compressor and an eight-metre tender that turns any reef, break or village jetty into an afternoon.

Accommodation

Four suites, four different kinds of morning

No two cabins aboard are alike. Choose by light, by height above the water, or simply by how quickly you want to reach the swim platform.

Full beam · Private terrace with Spa Jacuzzi

The Owner's Suite

Full beam on the upper deck, with glass on three sides and a bed placed so the reef is the first thing you register. Mornings arrive gradually here; blackout blinds hold them off as long as you like.

King · Bath

The Ocean view cabin

Cooler and more sheltered, panelled in pale timber with a deep bath and a reading chair angled to the water. The suite guests keep returning to, usually without being able to say why.

King or twin

The Lagoon Suite

Low and close to the waterline, where the light moves across the ceiling all afternoon. Steps from the swim platform, which makes it the natural choice for anyone who spends the day wet.

Twin · Convertible

The Reef Suite

Twin beds that convert to a king, generous storage and a bathroom built for sandy feet. Designed with families and travelling friends in mind rather than as an afterthought.

Living Spaces

Eleven rooms without walls between them

Life aboard drifts between shade and sun all day. Each space was drawn for a particular hour, and the crew moves the table, the coals and the cushions to meet it.

Indoor Lounge

Cool, shaded and deliberately dim at midday — deep seating, cold stone underfoot and glass that frames the water without the heat.

Outdoor Lounge

The aft deck where the day collects: wet towels, cold drinks, half-read books and conversations that outlast the light.

Jacuzzi

Set west on the sundeck, warm as the air cools, positioned for the twenty minutes when the atoll turns to silhouette.

Dining Area

A single long table, moved indoors or out depending on the wind. Eight places, never more.

Sun Deck

The highest and quietest space aboard. Yoga at sunrise, stargazing after dinner, nobody in between.

Bridge

Open to guests who ask. Charts, live atoll weather and a captain happy to explain why tomorrow will be better two miles north.

BBQ Area

Coals lit on the aft deck as the sun drops — reef fish, lobster and vegetables from the morning's market run.

Cinema

A projection wall in the salon, blankets against the air conditioning, and a library of films for the crossing nights.

Massage Chair

Tucked beside the sala for the hour after a dive, when nobody wants to talk and nobody has to.

Library

Indian Ocean writing, marine life guides and charts, shelved beside the window seat that catches the afternoon breeze.

Gaming Area

Consoles, board games and cards — quietly essential on the third rainy afternoon of a family charter.

Deck Plans

One hull, several ways to live in it

Atoll Villa is a conversion yacht. Beds strike down into salons, salons open into cinemas, and the lower deck turns from cabins to dive and expedition stores. Choose a deck, then a configuration, to see how the space is arranged.

Atoll Villa Two Suites deck plan — 2 double suites, 2 en-suite bathrooms, Aft lounge seating, Forward shaded deck

Sleeping configuration

Two Suites

The everyday arrangement: two full double suites amidships, each with its own bathroom, opening onto a shared aft lounge with loose seating that can be drawn together or pushed apart.

  • 2 double suites
  • 2 en-suite bathrooms
  • Aft lounge seating
  • Forward shaded deck

Conversions are carried out by the crew in port before you board. Tell us how you intend to use the yacht and we will set the decks accordingly — there is no charge for changing configuration between charters.

Shapeshifting Interiors

Rooms that change their minds

The world's first fully convertible-room yacht. Suites fold away into lounges, sliding walls open two cabins into one family suite, and a single deck becomes a gathering room, a cinema or a private retreat within minutes.

Questions about life on board

How many guests can Atoll Villa accommodate?+

Eight guests sleep comfortably across four suites, each with its own bathroom, climate control and panoramic glass. Families travelling with young children can request additional bedding in a suite, and we are happy to advise on which cabin configuration suits your group before you confirm.

What does solar-assisted cruising actually mean on board?+

Deck-integrated panels feed a battery bank that carries the yacht's hotel load — lighting, refrigeration, air conditioning and connectivity — through the night without running generators. In practice this means an anchorage with no engine hum, no diesel exhaust drifting across the aft deck, and mornings that begin with the sound of the reef instead.

Is there internet on board for work or for sharing photographs?+

Yes. Starlink connectivity runs throughout the yacht and holds up across the atolls, which is why corporate groups use us for offsites. It is equally easy to leave the network alone: the crew will happily keep devices in the salon and let the days go quiet.

What water sports equipment is carried?+

Seabobs, stand-up paddleboards, sea kayaks, a jet ski, snorkelling equipment in all sizes, fishing tackle, a dive compressor with Nitrox capability, and an eight-metre tender used for dive drops, village visits and sandbank picnics. Everything is maintained on board, so nothing depends on a shore-based operator.
